Choosing your RV

We probably looked online at around 750-1000 images and floorplans of RV's. Class A & Class C. Diesel or gas, storage space, sleeping arrangements and galley layout were our priorities.
A couple of sites were; www.generalrv.com and www.rvtrader.com and www.rvusa.com To get a good idea try www.thormotorcoach.com/build-price/

Setting up

Colours and Patterns

www.amazon.com was a great source, as was www.ikea.com - we pretty much got everything from there. We've provided a list of everything ordered.
Walmart do a great job with delivery as do Publix, so get accounts set up on both.
Even through the universal lockdown of 2020, these stores still delivered.

Insurance

Insurance & Registration

Our insurance is through paul@pauljamesinsurance.com and www.progresive.com - He was great and very understanding, considering we were across the other side of the world. Don't forget registration of the RV + sales tax and this differs from state to state.
Also for non US citizens the good medical insurance is needed. We used Cigna Health, and James, who's office is in Dubai (also on lockdown) proved very accommodating and helpful. www.cigna.com

Shopping

The Shopping List, R U Ready?

Obvious things like bedding, pots and pans, a knife or two (remember the chef bit!), crockery and cutlery (and tray). But what about tools, batteries, voltmeter, fans are handy, storage containers and tupperware. 1st aid kit, broom, door mat, grill (and bottle), clothes pins, windscreen covers www.etrailer.com - Bikes, outside table, soda stream, squidgy, jump leads, polish and shampoo, WD40 (silicone), mixing bowls, cooking utensils, stick blender, mattress topper, games, drying mats, coffee machine (French press), mugs, toasty machine (slyex), kitchen roll holder, non-slip matting for cupboards, toiletries and we found a small weather station very handy.
